Seanchoíche Brisbane | Childhood

Seanchoíche (pronounced Shanna-Key-Huh) our storytelling night founded is Dublin is super excited to be heading to Brisbane for the first time in February! The event will be taking place on FRIDAY APRIL 19th at 7.30pm @ Superordinary, 175 MacArthur Ave, Hamilton.

The idea is that you come to the event if you want to hear a good story. You can come just to listen and be a spectator, or if you feel like telling a story, you can volunteer to do so.

The theme of the night is 'CHILDHOOD'. All stories told will revolve around this theme. Stories can be personal anecdotes based on your own experience, or the experience of someone in your life, they can be fictional pieces, they can be monologues, poetry or anything that you consider a story.

We will have arranged storytellers on the night, but if you get the urge to stand up and tell a story when you're at the event on the night, you are welcome to do so. Storytellers can contact submissions@seanchoiche.com to let us know they are volunteering prior to the event.

Max 2 tickets per booking. Tickets are available here.

There are no refunds available on tickets purchased.

A seanchaí is a traditional Gaelic storyteller/historian. We're all natural born storytellers, and often underestimate the value of a good story.

'Empathy is remembering that everybody has a story. Multiple stories.' - Kae Tempest
